Memory Cafés provide support and socializing for adults living with dementia or Alzheimer’s and their caregivers.

The Needham Community Council, in partnership with the Needham Free Public Library, the Council on Aging, Needham Youth & Family Services, and the Needham Public Health Division, is pleased to announce the launch of monthly Memory Cafés that are open to the public (pre-registration requested but not required). 

Memory Cafés are welcoming, stigma-free social gatherings where individuals living with dementia and their care partners can relax, connect, and enjoy time together in a supportive environment. 

This memory café will be at a new location due to renovations at the library.

With a wide range of irresistible, toe-tapping music from the Big Bands to the 80's, Broadway musicals, disco, and the Caribbean, dance movement facilitator Donna Newman-Bluestein will get us to stretch, shake, twist and bend together. Come ready to have fun and leave with a greater sense of vitality and well-being. If you've got a heartbeat you've got rhythm enough. No prior experience necessary.
